Job

So I found a good job with salary + commission and benes! World Wide Medical Services http://www.wwmsi.com/. I'll be marketing "tens units" to chiropractors, orthopedic specialists, therapists, etc. They're portable units that send an electrical shock to alleviate pain. Here's the skinny.

Saw an ad on craigslist looking for DME Reps (that's me!). The ad instructed us to fax the resume, but I noticed the company name in fine print at the bottom. I googled it, found the address, printed a resume, typed a letter and put it all in a folder. When I got there, I realized that it had moved, so I called the office. The woman answered and actually put me through to the owner/manager who was hiring for the position. He gave me the new address and I scored an interview right then and there!

The interview went well, and so did the other two! My new boss decided to hire me even though there was someone that was already selling these units for a different company. Apparently, I was the only one who cold called him for this job and he liked my skills.

My start date is two days after I get back from my vacation out west at the end of this month....which is awesome.

I feel lucky......

You are very blessed to have landed a good paying job in today's economy. You should be very thankful for that.

Where are you going out west and to visit who? I'm headed to NC next week for some ARC training.

Going to visit my friend, Corey West, from Kokomo in San Diego. Then my friend, Mike Lemley, is picking me up after a few days, and taking me to LA. Going to The Price is Right. Then flying to Seattle to see Julie Svetcoff from IU. 27th through the 6th! Can't wait!

WOW! What a trip! I have a Horton cousin that lives in San Diego and we went out there a couple of years ago to see him get married. Beautiful place. Great weather too...all the time. LA should be kick ass, but crazy at the same time. I have always wanted to get out to Seattle. Heard it's beautiful out there as well. Should be a totally kick ass time. Good luck on TPIR. Hope you win big and share with us all! Love you cousin!

Love you too! The trip is only costing $400.

And I am so thankful to have that job. It was looking pretty scary for the past month with the recent medicare cuts. I was persistent and showed him all of my skills. That made the difference.
