Right, I am now in the sort of middle-aged category. Thank you for the birthday wishes. It's 12:26AM & my birthday is now over.
So we've practiced 3 times now & so far, so good. I have 3 of their original songs down now. Their former name is "dsc project", but they (thankfully) want to change it. The other names that they were tossing around sucked, so try to come up with a swell name for a ROCK band. Really. Not too many joke responses though. I want to toss a few at them before they settle on some totally lame name. It's kind of hard to shoot down a potential band name if you're the new guy.

You should think about everyone in your bands personality’s then come up with a name. You'll get it.
I tried to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY but it wouldn’t post for some reason. Besides 30 is just a # anyway think about it B is 46 he the oldest of the cousins, we will NEVER catch up with him he will alway be older than us.

Think about a song all of you like. Choose a lyric form that song and make it your band name. Can't be like 50 words long though. ^_^
Like this one bands name is Carry Me Home. (They were on TRL a couple of times for Guitar Hero.)
If you want to be original, just sit around and talk about nothing. Maybe it'll come up.
Something The Fray did: They were at a gig at...I think a high school. Then they asked each person to write suggested band name on a slip of paper, and put it into a jar. They reached in the jar of lots of band names, and the piece of paper they pulled out said "The Fray".
